The following activity has been arranged for students. ACTIVITY: K-2 Athletics Carnival DATE: Tuesday, 10 September 2024 TIME: 9:30am - 2:30pm VENUE: Les O'Brien Athletics Precinct COST: Track hire and bus fares will be $8.00 per student. TRAVEL: All students will travel to school first. After roll call they will then travel by bus with their class and teacher to Les O'Brien Athletics Precinct. If at the conclusion of the carnival parents/carers wish to take their children from the carnival, please ensure that their names are marked off with classroom teacher before leaving Les O'Brien Athletics Precinct. Please note: children are not permitted to travel from the carnival with a parent/carer other than their own unless the appropriate paperwork has been completed and returned to the school office. CLOTHING: Students will need to have suitable clothing to compete in and must wear shoes when competing. Hats, drink bottles with water and sunscreen will be required on the day. Students are encouraged to dress in their house colours. FOOD: Please bring your lunch, snacks, and water bottles to the event. The athletics track canteen will not be open. Track Events - Kindergarten and Year 1- 60m, 100m, 400m. Year 2- 60m, 100m, 800m. Field events - Students will participate in discus, shot put and long jump. SPECTATORS: Parents are permitted to attend the carnival.

Albury Public School students from Kindergarten to Year 6 perform in this years production of Dancing through the decades, a journey showcasing dances from the 1920's to the 2020's. There are 3 performances to be held at the Albury Entertainment Centre: Tuesday 24 September 11:30am matinee performance 6:30pm evening performance Wednesday 25 September 11:30am matinee performance Tickets on sale through the Albury Entertainment Centre online or at the box office.

On the last day of this term, Friday 27 September, we invite parents, guardians and grandparents along to Albury Public School for a family picnic. Please bring along your own picnic lunch and enjoy eating it with your child/ children. Enter through the David Street gate. Date: Friday 27 September at 11am – 11:40am Allergy reminders: Please ensure that your lunches are nut-free. Please ensure your food is not shared with students outside of your family members. We can’t wait to see you all!

Students are placed in groups and taken to classrooms to participate in activities. Parents collect their children at 11:00am. More details will be emailed to parents prior to the orientation days.
