The Albury Public School Canteen provides inexpensive healthy lunches and snacks for our lovely students. It is also the place to purchase school hats, APS school bags and school polo shirts. All of the profits from the canteen go back to the school via the APS P&C, so please support this great service.
For those who are unable to help with the canteen in other ways, we have a Canteen Donation Program . Information and a list of the items we would like donated is located on this link.
Who Runs The Canteen?
The Albury Public School Canteen is run by a committee of volunteers and is a sub-committee of the P & C. The Canteen employs two Canteen Managers (Jac and Bridget) who job share. Canteen sub-committee meetings are held on the 3rd Tuesday of the month at 2pm in the canteen. We welcome anyone who would like to be part of this innovative team.
Our canteen complies with the NSW Healthy School Canteen Strategy
Lunch Orders.
With the earlier lunch time this year our canteen staff are in need of your help.. There are a couple of ways you can do this:
1. Please volunteer if you can spare an hour or two. Simply complete the Albury Public School canteen volunteer registration form or call in the the canteen.
2. Please complete your lunch orders online.
Notes are always sent home for special events, and we will always accept hand written lunch orders, but it is MUCH EASIER and less time consuming for our wonderful staff and volunteers if you order online rather than sending in paper orders or sending back the paper order forms.
The online ordering system is pretty easy to use once you get used to it and has many benefits including the ability to order in advance, not having to send cash to school (that can get lost) and being able to order the sports uniform t-shirt, hats and bags to be delivered to your child.
Menu options are automatically updated so that special event dates and specific menu items for Wednesday and Friday are only available on the correct days, which also saves time for staff and reduces stress for parents and students.

Thank-you for taking the time to order online, it makes and big difference. Once you get started it is easy and convenient.
To send a written a lunch order, write your child's name, class and order on a paper lunch bag, place money inside bag. If change is required it will be taped to the outside of the bag.
When your child gets into class in the morning their teacher will have a routine for placing lunch orders in the Class Lunch Box which goes to the canteen. Lunch Boxes are collected from the canteen at lunch time with the food ordered in the paper bag.
There are counter sales of snacks during morning recess and at lunch time snacks, icy poles, drinks, etc can be purchased once eating time has finished.
How Can I Help The Canteen?
We are grateful to our wonderful Canteen Volunteer Helpers.
The canteen depends on volunteer helpers be successful. Without the fabulous mums, dads, grandparents, caregivers and friends that give up part of their day to help our canteen staff, we would not be able to operate.
We always need more Volunteers. A few hours a term is much appreciated. There is all day parking beside the Canteen for helpers and you are provided with a complimentary lunch and coffee for your efforts !
Please contact Jac or Bridget at the canteen if you can help out on the roster. It's an easy and fun way to get involved at the school. Phone the Canteen on 0422 701 463.
