On Monday 21 June Albury Public School will be begin celebrations for NAIDOC Week. The NAIDOC 2021 theme is Heal Country. It recognises and celebrates that First Nations people have occupied and cared for this continent for over 65,000 years. NAIDOC 2021 invites all Australians to embrace the ancient history of this country – a history which dates back thousands of generations.
Parents/carers and guests are invited to attend a NAIDOC assembly commencing at 9am on Monday 21 June in the manor quad. All visitors will need to sign on at the front office if they are attending the assembly. All students will be participating in cultural activities with their class teacher throughout the week.
WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW:
DATE- Monday 21 June 2021
WHERE- ALBURY PUBLIC SCHOOL
CLOTHES- Aboriginal colours (red, yellow and black) or a NAIDOC shirt. Must be sun safe with appropriate footwear.
NAIDOC SAUSAGE SIZZLE
The school, with the support of the P & C, will provide a Sausage Sizzle for students at lunch time.
The following items are available: Beef Sausage in Bread, Beef Sausage in GF Bread.
(NOTE- all BEEF SAUSAGES are GF)
